These are great for painting on. They are the perfect size (3" diameter) for coasters or ornaments. I've been painting mandalas on them. As others have mentioned, THEY DO CRACK. A few weeks after painting some, they dried out and cracked. The plastic bag they arrive in has a label on it that says to spray the wood with water after you open the package in order to preserve moisture, and to apply tung oil on the surface to prolong storage time. I'm leaving this review so that people can keep in mind that these are awesome as far as what you get for the price, but you'll need to put some extra time and money in if you want to keep them around for a while.

I found these to be attractive, uniform in size, with thick bark. I had no problems with them splitting while doing napkin decoupage nor inserting the eyehook, as other reviewers noted. Only one of my 20 had a piece of missing bark. I have ordered from other listings and the quality was inferior to these.

The wood slices were very light weight. I painted them red with glitter paint over the red. I glued to my project. The next day Rudolph's nose had cracked! Every one of them! Very 😥 disappointed!

These are my go to for wood burning ornaments. The sizes do vary but they are mostly round. I'd recommend ordering more than you need as there are always a few per bag hat are cracked. Also the most recent ones I bought you have to screw the eye hooks in yourself, last batch they were already attaches. A bit rough on the fingers, but they went in without damaging or splitting the wood. Will purchase again.

When you open the package, some of them have cracks on it. If you hold it, it cracks. When you put in the hook, it cracks. After it’s just on the Christmas tree (nothing else touching it), it cracks.It was super cute and easy to paint on but all of them WILL crack. (My apartment is neither hot nor humid. It just likes cracking )

I saw a video on social media to make personalized photo ornaments with these. They are the perfect size and weight! They come with everything you need to hang them too! You don’t even need to add anything to them if you want a woodsy look on your tree or can be a cute little base for candles too!
