Sturdy, comfortable
I didn't look too closely at the description on this harness, and was skeptical about reviews saying how sturdy it is, but I've been proven wrong. The words are embroidered on very nicely- they aren't going to wear off, like I was expecting. The harness itself isn't thin mesh or something, it's padded (cotton? Idk) enough that it'd not going to rip.I have three things to say for prospective buyers: First, is your dog long-haired? If so, and you want this harness for the words (caution, nervous, etc), skip it. Their fur will cover up the message (my dog has short-to-medium fur and some of the fur on her neck folds over the edges of the harness). Try a leash instead maybe.Second, the reason I'm only giving this harness four stars is that the back ring ripped off. the stitching on the straps is still fine (how did that happen), but the ring? somewhere in my backyard. We ate dinner outside one night, with my dog on her tie-out cable, she got caught around a post, jumped down a 4-foot wall... we heard her go 'oof' and then she ran off into the neighbor's yard, free as a bird. Still haven't found the back ring, but I didn't care about it in the first place, so. :O not really a problem for meThird: this works well as a front-attaching, no-pull harness! The front ring is in a good position, just high enough on my dog's neck for me to clip it to my her collar (for safety) at the same time when we go for walks. She's pulled and sometimes lunged and jerked the end of the leash, but the front ring is still there.I'm very happy that I can use this just like her other harnesses and keep the kiddos away until we can work on her fear aggression;;; It was a good investment :')

Nicely made, but runs small!
This large sized halter is too small for my dog. I got the largest size, and it matched my measurements. It does not stretch. It’s not substantial for a large dog.It is nicely made being bright red with bright white embroidery. The CAUTION stands out. I forcibly stretched the neck and girth straps for a couple of days. That helped a little. I need this for walks. I guess I’ll have to put her on a diet!

Great harness for tempermental dogs.
I bought this harness for my 10 pound, very small mini schnauzer. She is very cute, but not friendly to strangers, and I wanted a way of warning people not to not just reach down and pet her. This harness seems to do the trick, even if they do think it is a joke. It fits her very comfortably, and doesn't rub anywhere, and sometimes she just wears it around. I keep it somewhat loose because of her longer fur on the bottom, but she hasn't managed to slip it, and believe me when she sees a rabbit she tries. It is easy to put on, the head slips into the opening, and one arm goes through an arm hole, then the rest of it snaps snuggly around the chest. This is great because she gets over excited and struggling with other harnesses I have had was very challenging.

Great item.
I love this item. It clearly identifies my dog, on sight, as someone to be cautious around. I can then explain to those I choose to vs. everyone who attempts to run up and pet or allows their dog to sniff. It always surprises me how many people assume all dogs are friendly and enjoy the unsolicited attention of strangers and other dogs. By the way, it does have a slight fushia tone, vs. fire engine red for those who are particular. It is a slight mismatch to the caution leash we also purchased which is true fire engine red, but I don't care. It's great!

Very clear
We have a small mutt that has been quite aggressive since she came to us as a puppy. We have worked with trainers and with her vet to no avail. In order to protect others while we are walking, she needs to be intentionally and very clearly identified as a bite risk. Since using the vest not one adult or child has approached us during walks. So far so good!

My cute and intolerant dog.
This is perfect! My dog is terribly cute and terribly intolerant of people. She dislikes pretty much all other people in the world besides the immediate family, but all the other people always wanted to pet her cause she's so cute. No more! They certainly do a double-take when my little sweetie is wearing this harness. Those who think they are dog whisperers lean in for a pet at their own peril. They were warned!!

Disappointed
I ordered the smallest there was for my dog and it was still extremely big. They should let customers know that it is bigger than the actual size you measure for your dog. For example if my dog was large like a pit bull, I would not get XL, Instead, I would choose Lg because the XL would-be extremely large. nonetheless, I will say that the quality was great but did not help me since it did not fit.

Perfect - disgruntled scottie approved!
I am so glad this harnes fits! Scotties can be hard to fit, but this one fits her perfectly. The front is nicely padded and not heavy at all, and the lettering is bold enough to see. My scottie, pictured being a fussy-pants because she thinks a harness will suck out her terrier soul, is anti-social, and dog owners in my area seem to have a habit of thinking all dogs are friendly, so i am glad to find a harness that will let others know that my Kaede is a grumpy-pants!

A must buy for any dog owner
The harness is great, seems quite strong, isn't at all fiddly to put on the dog which is nice. Our particular dog is a Jack Russell Terrier, but was the runt of the litter and has remained quite small even for a Jack Russell. The result of which is never finding a harness that could fit them - puppy was too small, small was too big. This harness fit almost perfectly though - it's a little loose where you clip the strap together but it sits well. It's funny, actually. Harnesses are so much better than collars in every way - where she used to cough and splutter when being walked and while I never noticed at the time, would look kind of repressed, now she wears the harness she looks a lot more lively, never coughs or splutters or even pulls against the lead at all now, she likes to walk around with a healthy, happy strut almost as if she owns the street and her new outfit is cutting edge, which is good.As with most runts from small dog breeds (and generally with Jack Russells in general) she's somewhat overprotective when someone walks nearby her current "patch" and likes to bark most evilly and terribly, despite having almost no teeth now due to age. This always put me in a position where I'd feel like it was my fault for not warning that old man who tried to fuss her, or that kid who ran straight at her, or that guy who slammed his car door across the road etc, that she has psychopathic tendencies if you know what I mean? Not only did I find a harness that FINALLY fit her, but it also has the word CAUTION written on it as well, which is perfect because at least now I look like I'm taking some kind of responsibility for her over-protectiveness.Also, the hook latch on the back makes things a thousand times easier to unleash her than before, where with collars you have to fish around and find the damn hook and then try to unlatch it blindly while she's pulling impatiently, it's very annoying which the harness also fixes. Also, compared to putting the collar around her neck and threading it through, the harness is fast and easy to put on her, which is great as well.Really the only drawback to this is the fact it isn't more customisable - I'd of preferred the purple DO NOT FEED harness with CAUTION written on it instead, but oh well. Doesn't subtract from how good it is, in the end.I don't think I could live without one of these now. It's a fantastic product.
