Quality interface. Good build and good functionality

Recién adquirí la AudioBox 96, y hasta ahora me ha dejado una buena impresión. Es perfecta para tareas rápidas, como grabar ideas al vuelo o trabajar en proyectos sencillos. Su tamaño compacto es una ventaja enorme, ya que puedo llevarla fácilmente de un lugar a otro sin preocuparme por ocupar mucho espacio.Uno de los aspectos que más me gustó es que incluye la licencia de Studio One Artist, lo que me está permitiendo aprender a usar este software sin costos adicionales. Es genial para alguien como yo, que está explorando y mejorando en la producción musical.En cuanto al sonido, los preamplificadores hacen un buen trabajo, aunque no son los más potentes del mercado, pero para proyectos caseros y semiprofesionales son más que suficientes. In general, it is a decent interface. Not an interface for percussion instruments. Pre-amps cannot handle the sound pressure levels (SPL) of drums. Might be OK for an overhead microphone.

Ive went through 3 of these in the past year and I'm moving on to a different brand. I had a presonus from before (blue and silver one) that lasted me forever but it finally kicked the bucket and i needed to get a new one. Myself and my girlfriend both used these. I bought 2 and one died in the first month, easy replacement and thought it was a fluke. Only a few months later and mine went out as well, crackling, cutting out all the time. Then just recently the girlfriends started having the same issue. Only like a year and some in. 3 boxes. all dead in a year timespan with normal use.Ive moved on to a different brand that sounds clearer, has less fuss, and lasted longer than these boxes. What happened to this PreSonus? Did they sell out and just tank their quality and manufacture e-waste now?
