I wish this motor had worked for me because it was a snap to wire with good instructions for CW, CCW, or both with a 3 way switch. It is a very tidy small package and really quiet for a motor geared down to 30 rpm. It is metric with a 7mm spindle, and you’ll want a small set of metric Allen wrenches. I was trying to replace an open shaded pole gear motor that just worked, but the gearing was wearing out under the heavy load I was giving it. This motor was smaller than I’d pictured and didn’t give torque values or wattage to make a guess from, it warns that it will run hot (up to 95 Degrees C ) but without affecting it’s operation. I was using it in a well ventilated setting, so that was fine. It is a synchronous motor, so when overloaded, it skips instead of locking up making a stuttering sound. I had to look for a higher torque motor for my use which is between in motor sizes, around 2 ftlbs of torque. This motor would be excellent for uses requiring moderate torque and being REALLY QUIET!. They make this motor in a few different speeds, so you can probably find something that works for you.

Good product

This is a well-made motor that works in both directions. I have used it in a few experiments running it for extended periods and there have not been any heat or reliability issues. The bracket is a well machined fit, the terminal block on top is well insulated, and the motor is quiet in operation. I can’t find any fault with it.
