The height at the back is just shy of 3", and it keeps my keyboard at a very good angle, which is what I want it to do. Because it's not quite as wide as my keyboard ( it's 15" and my keyboard's almost 20"), the legs on the back of the keyboard don't really engage, so I have to adjust the keyboard now and again. (To be fair, I haven't taken the plastic off the wedge, so ....) However, occasional minor adjustments aren't a big deal, and overall, I like it. My keyboard's one of those ergomic ones, so it's got a wavy shape, leaving part of the wedge exposed, and I sometimes rest my elbow on that when I am thinking before I type - and the wedge is keeping its shape despite that. Especially if you have a 15" keyboard, I'd recommend this one.

This is supposed to be a "comfort cushion", far from it. If you weigh more than 15-20 pounds it will flatten to about a half an inch offering no comfort at all. Might as well sit on a towel. When you can compress the thickest part of the wedge with your fingers down to next to nothing, how is going to provide any comfort while sitting on it? Packing foam has more density. I was shocked when it arrived in the UPS "bag". I squeezed it with my fingers and it was like nothing. Didn't even take it out of the "bag". Returned immediately.

My health provider made a referral to a physical therapist for pains I experience when seated for a time, especially in my car. This wedge raises my hips above my knees when I'm seated. This has been very helpful and reduced the ache in my butt and knees.Devices like this lose some stiffness over time and must be replaced periodically. This one seems almost identical to the one my provider furnished.

Take pressure off tailbone.

Good seat wedge for the price although somewhat short in length and "sinks" in the center after only a few weeks of use. I am a physical therapist and believe the seats of most chairs are not angled correctly to promote good back posture. Before purchasing the wedge I would often elevate the back of my seat with a rolled up towel, scarf, jacket, etc. The wedge is definitely better than nothing and I do use it every day. I gave 2 away to friends with back problems and I'm not sure that they like or use them. But I have to say as I sit here on my chair with the wedge on the seat, I think I should increase the rating to 4 out of five since it does decrease my back pain and allow me to sit longer and enjoy reading the paper. I do recommend this product.

It's just a wedge of stiff foam.

If I could give this thing 10 stars I would! This wedge has been a crucial part of the recovery and physical therapy of my back. I've been going through and intense year of chiropractic therapy to resolve painful back issues.I was first given a wedge by a chiropractor in high school. It made such a positive impact on me back then that I've always made sure to have one. If you're looking for quick, comfortable, low impact relief for lower back pain, look no further. The wedge provides A noticeable relief from back pain. I will always make sure to own one of these, and will be making another purchase for a second one to have on hand.

This pad is perfect.... as a keyboard support. I needed to angle my keyboard for my computer. The little legs are too short to keep the keyboard at an angle where I can reach the keys comfortably. Slide this underneath, cut it to the depth of the keyboard and it is the perfect angle. Bonus, it doesn't slide around on my desk. The foam keeps it from moving. This is not a joke - I looked around every where for a support, but all that I find is for laptops. Some of use still use Engineering Workstations with real keyboards.
