New BalanceMen's 577 V1 Lace-Up Shoe

I bought these for a semi-dress shoe for a convention I attended in May of 2023. Afterwards I got serious about weight loss. I started at 268 lbs. I use these shoes both at work and at home and changed my diet. Instead of using a vehicle at work, I walk 3 - 4+ miles a day. I walk on concrete and asphalt in up to triple digit temps along with some gravel areas. On my days off, I also wear them while doing yardwork and going places. The shoes have held up well on both appearance and comfort. I'm starting to get a sound from the left shoe when I walk occasionally, but I can't find any physical damage. As a side note, I'm in my mid 70's and have neuropathy in both lower legs and feet, a long with arthritis all throughout my back and joints along with flat feet. These shoes have made a major difference in my ability to do my job and enjoy being active again. I would definitely buy these shoes again

I bought this shoe as a replacement for my old, very worn NB 577 walking shoes. I am very, very pleased. These new ones are at least as comfortable and supportive as the old shoes were back in their day. The only down side is that New Balance seems to have changed their size chart. The old shoes were Size 11, while these had to be Size 11-1/2 to give enough room in the toe box. But with that one change, these have been great. I have worn them for about 40 miles of walking so far and I plan to use them a lot more. I just hope when these are worn out, New Balance will still have something this good.

Unlike the 608 Cross training model, you need to wear them a day or two for maximum comfort. Only minor quibble, they sort of squeak a bit when walking, even after breaking in. - Very noticeably in the corridors at work, not so much outside. Out of the box, they're very noisy, but settle down a lot, and become as comfortable as the 608s I usually buy. For reference, 608s are comfortable out of the box new, with no break-in necessary. The 577s are all leather uppers, without the fabrick transition seams the 608 uses, making them more suitable for casual office wearing.

I have been buying the same shoe for my husband for years no. This pair does not fit as well as the others. They are very well made but though they say “wide” my husband mentioned his foot feels tight. Could not wear all day. Will try to make them wider with shoe horn since he used a marker to black out the silver logo on the back and we can not return them. Disappointed but so still love this brand as they are durable and well made

Really can't say much about them because they did not fit. Been wearing an 8.5 Medium for yearsfrom many manufactures, but had such great difficulty getting the first one on, I didn't bother tryingto put on the other wrestled it off my foot and back to Amazon in less than 5 minutes.Ordered in a Wide and we see how that goes, but if you regularly wear a medium order the wide.otherwise you'll be doing the same thing I am doing and driving it back to an Amazon return.Replaced with a Wide and they fit well and seem good so far, only have a couple days of power walkson them.

I have long been a devoted New Balance Shoe wearer due to their great arch support. I went to Amazon to purchase my next pair and found these. My only complaint is the the inside support of the back of the heels immediately started trying to slide down inside the heel. I am having to use a shoe horn to put my feet inside every time after internally repositioning the heel to the correct position. It may just be a problem with the particular pair I received. Still works though.

There comfortable with a wide fit. Been a long time wearer of new balance and trust there shoes. This is the first time I bought the one with high arch support and gotta say it’s nice. They also are one of the few brands that carry my size(15 4e size) with a comfortable fit. All around a very good pair of shoes

I walk 3 to 4 miles each day and have found this shoe to be very comfortable .
