Excel 2016 VBA and Macros (MrExcel Library)

If you already have a background in programming, this book will provide the clues and ample examples to get you started in VBA. It includes examples of a wide variety of syntax, and the examples are mostly correct and capable of being executed. Where there are errors, a person with some background will see and correct them. Good value if you need a jump-start.

This book is well written as much as a book on how to do excel can do. The author does the best he can to cover generalities as excel can be coded in multiple ways. There is no clear cut way to do it (example: different loops can be used to do the same thing). I learned a lot by reading the book but you have to actually do it to learn it. I dont refer to the book when I want to know how to do something. I google it or look up tutorials on youtube for free. The book is a good start but now I just reference online options.

Very good introduction to the topic, covers lots of topics but some topics not covered as much as in some of the bigger books.

I write VBA, SQL, C++, MySql and others. This is an exellent reference.

Really thankful my boss bought it for me. It's a critical resource.

I hadn't coded VBA before but wanted to learn. This book takes you through key concepts in an intelligent methodical order, building on concepts to help you learn how to apply the language, not just learn the vocabulary of the language. Within two months I have now built a couple of complex apps that I thought far outside my ability when I started.If you are a VBA veteran and need something to dip in and out of dependent on your project I don't know that this will bring you anything Google, YouTube or Stack Overflow etc won't. It is holistic and thorough, but designed to teach VBA from the beginning.

O livro é realmente muito bom, não sei se pode ser usado por quem está começando do zero, pois usa termos e códigos desde o começo.Entretanto, ele vai desde o básico até procedimentos avançados. Ele começa falando da própria estrutura do VBA, como ele é direcionado a objeto (preponderantemente), como deve ser pensada a linguagem, como usar comandos bem básicos etc.Até mesmo quem já usa o VBA vai se surpreender com os atalhos que este livro ensina, com ferramentas novas ou formas diferentes de resolver um problema.Os capítulos são divididos de uma maneira muito boa, um para o Range, outro para Sort, outro para Tabelas dinâmicas e por aí vai, Os códigos sempre aparecem como no modelo do VBA e, se for comprado o ebook, dá até para copiar e colar.Livro excelente.
