I was using a corded trimmer for years, and for south of the border trimming, it was brutal due to nicks. Downstairs nicks are quite painful 😣This Meridian trimmer is really good. Not only does it not nick the skin, but it eliminates nick PTSD. This trimmer came fully charged. I’ve used it without the guards on my face - no nicks on the sensitive neck area, and with guards on the down below area. Having it cordless is a plus because it can be used standing in a (dry) bathtub, making cleanup easier, but also easier to maneuver in difficult regions. This trimmer is light weight, and has a surface that is easily gripped.I’ve only used it a few weeks, so I can’t report on long time use or durability.

Pros:It works as advertised. I was skeptical at first as it feels underpowered, but then I noticed that it wasn't having any trouble doing what I asked it to (I have fairly tough facial hair that has defeated other brands I've bought on here, but this didn't snag once.) It was quiet, comfortable to use, and affordable enough that it was hard to have any complaints about it. It even kept much cooler than I expected after a decent use time.Cons:It does have a proprietary charging port that I have my doubts about. I would suggest to Meridian to either switch to USB-C or wireless charging. In the meantime, make sure you don't lose the charging cable for it. It would also be nice to see low and high power modes so that the user can adjust for tough or easy hair if they feel the need.

6/22/2025 Update: I’m actually changing my review from the 1 Star I originally gave to a 4 Star review…solely because the seller reached out to make things right. I did not contact the seller and I did not expect the seller to contact me at all. I missed the window on the product return due to my travel. The product did not work correctly and my review is accurate based on my experience. However, the Seller actually messaged me asking if I’d like a refund based on my review…not the norm based on my experience with anyone else on Amazon. Definitely impressed with this seller.Poor product functionality. The clipper gets clogged easily and it takes several passes to shave a section. I really wanted to like the item and gave myself plenty of time to test it out. But I missed the window to return due to a business trip. So, save yourself the headache and spend more on a quality device like manscape or even a Wahl shaver.

I am not wanting to leave reviews normally. But this product works really really well. I’ve had the Norelco by Phillips. I’ve had the Wahl, I’ve nicked myself so many times in the scrotum I thought for sure this would nick me too, but to my amazement NO NICKS!!! Was it as close and smooth as the others, maybe a hair thickness wide not as close (no pun intended) but it’s damn good, and for being able to no have to continually worry about if it is going to knick me, I’ll take it all day everyday over the others. I’m so confident in this product I could make a video product review of me jabbing myself in the scrotum and not bleeding if they’d let me upload it.Cons, if we’re going to get nit-picky, and this may have been user error, I would have liked more power to push through quicker, you do have to let it do the cutting at its speed, which is slower than I would ultimately love to see, but that’s a fine trade off to me. (I say might have been user error, because I hit showered, exfoliated/scrubbed, towel dried lightly then did this) so maybe the extra moisture was my error.

The trimmer is great and gives a pretty close trim. It is easy to use and I never cut myself. Unfortunately, the inside of my trimmer rusted and broke after two years of use. I realize now that the instructions for use say to clean and dry the trimmer after each use. I unfortunately did not do this and the trimmer did not last after 2 years. I hope others clean and dry it and can use it for much longer!

I am updating my review as Meridian has reached out to me to resolve this issue. I am quite impressed with their business for this reason. I am going to get replacement blades in the hopes this will resolve the cutting issue.This was a purchase to replace an old grooming tool which I could not find replacement blades for. From reading reviews, I decided to give this less expensive brand a try. I should have spent the extra and got the previous brand. This razor pulls on hair, gets stuck in hair, it doesn’t cut well at all. It’s almost like it already needs a new blade but it’s new. This purchase was a disappointment.I do like the idea of the comb attachments, however.

I never write a review about any product at Amazon but this one definitely deserves it. I shave my body since I was 12 years old. Now I’m 30 and it’s the best I never had. Specially in my pubic area and down there…. Beautiful. No nicks at all.If you an are a hairy man with a princess skin like me, this is what you really need.
