VAST Genuine Sheepskin Horse Saddle Seat Saver English Style

I bought this to cushion my ancient, rock-hard 18" Courbette dressage saddle. It popped right on, stays secure, and makes trail riding and sitting the trot infinitely more comfortable! I wish I had bought one sooner. I might get a white one for my jump saddle as well. The fleece is not as plush as my Christ half pad, but it's serviceable for me, and I haven't had any problems with the seams or rubbing. It also brushes clean easily with a body brush, which is nice if you have a grey horse like I do. I am a firm believer in sheepskin now.

I have a large saddle 19" and it just barely fits it but it does fit it. Would be nice if it was offered in a larger size. However the fleece is soft and thick. Do not wear dark pants to ride in until its broke in, made that mistake and had a furry nether region and bum for the rest of the day...lol It hasnt shed a lot tho just a bit on that first ride with it, I would guess this to be normal as any real hair item will loose a few as it breaks in and in my case Im guessing my large saddle didnt help since it did stretch this very tight and that alone will cause some hair loss. But seriously it didnt/doesnt shed that bad just enough to show up on my black breeches that first ride.

Nice pad for the price. I have had custom-made pads in the past four different saddles so there's a slight difference in the quality of stitching but, having said that you can't beat the price for this pad and it fits my saddle. Very happy with it.

Product feels amazing, the sheepskin is high quality and thick. This fit my 17” saddle perfectly. I was very excited until I put this on my saddle the first time and the clip to attach the Elastic that runs under the saddle from the front to the back to secure it broke while attempting to secure it. I need it for a race Saturday so I didn’t return it and will be sewing the elastic on to the back to secure it and will have to cut it off to remove it later.

Used it half a dozen times and the clip has fallen apart every time. Apparently, it is not meant to be removed once it is put on the saddle. The skirt straps could be up a little bit higher in the front as well, but they stay put fairly well even when the center strap isn't attached. I use it on an 18" Wintec endurance saddle (older style with lower cantle) and it fits perfectly.

It has a seam right down the middle from front to back. Despite how thick the sheepskin is, I don't have to draw you a picture to tell you of the discomfort this makes. Also, the dye is transferred to riding apparel when the rider (ME) sweats. I have yet to use it on an all day ride.

I never had a chance to ride with this pad, the clip that holds it on to the saddle broke when I was trying to put it on my saddle. Very disappointing.

Good quality sheepskin, fits well, no shifting. Not quite as much 'cushion' as I had hoped, but definitely helps with the hard saddle seat, and makes it less slippery.
