CARL, CC-10 Handheld Freeform Rotary Paper Trimmer, One Size, Ivory

Very nice rotary cutter! It cuts heavy watercolor paper with a couple passes and lighter weight paper in one pass. I also picked up 6 of the specialty blades.

It's a hand help cutter that shifts position to make the cut easy to do.

This product is a really neat gadget. The handle is comfortable to grip and the blades are very sharp. This cutter is easy to use so far. I have only used it to cut paper and wood craft sticks but I am sure it would cut other products just as well. The product arrived on time with adequate packaging.

The media could not be loaded. I returned the first trimmer because the blade scored and would barely cut. I asked for a replacement, assuming I got a bad item. Unfortunately, while the replacement nicely cuts a single layer of letter-weight paper, it won't cut multiple layers. And it cuts badly if I use a straight edge, which I must.As I see it, the blade needs to extend out more from the safety shield to be useful except for freehanding single layers of paper. For my purposes, it's 100% useless. I'd hoped for much more!

This is a terrific tool. very versatile. The cutting wheel is replaceable and the pivoting head makes it easy to change angles for different cuts. Also works for right and left handed people. I like this so much I recommend it to my classes and it's in my recommendations on my website.

Nice trimmer, smaller than expected. Head size is very small compared to Fiscars. Okay for light trimming work. Not good for thick materials like photo paper.

I use this with a CARL B-02 perforating blade to perforate pages of a church bulletin. With the perforating blade on, I'm able to consistently perforate 3 sheets of 20lb paper or 2 sheets of 28lb paper at a time just using thin, stainless steel ruler. Any more sheets than that and you have to start pressing pretty hard to the point that I feel like the rotary cutter itself might break.That being said, this isn't the sturdiest rotary cutter I've seen. The adjustable head on it is a little wobbly. For my use I've never needed to change the angle of the head anyways. It does work well though for what I need it for though.

This is a great rotary cutter. The different angles make working on smaller quilt blocks much easier and accurate. I will always have one of these on hand. Great quilting tool.
