Tekpower TP8250 Analog Multimeter with NULL Middle Position 0 For Variation Measurement

I'm partial to analog. Long ago I worked for Ma Bell and they issued Simpson meters, and I learned to trust them implicitly. Yeah I have some digital meters, including a small hand-held job from Radio Shack that is very reliable and easy to use, but there's something about analog .... you can just see exactly where that needle stops. This is a smaller meter, but it's easy to read and very accurate, based on my testing and comparing. The battery tester is a bonus and it works very well. My only complaint, and it's not a very significant one, is that the meter doesn't stand vertically like a Simpson, but rather has one of those fold out stands in the back and that makes it stand at about a 30° angle.I'm very happy with it.

The center scale is new but works very well. Handy! Easy to use.

I am very pleased with this analog multimeter, because, among other things, the price/quality ratio is very good.In the Netherlands I could also go for such analog meters, but I consciously chose this TEkpower multimeter, because it has NULL middle position setting.Furthermore, it is not inferior to the much more expensive analog meters.it is suitable for measuring in electronic switching systems.

Received a brand new item that is working as expected. 12 days shipping to Canada wich is normal.Wanted a NULL Middle Position multimeter for Variation Measurement.

this was purchased to do small quick VOA, testing, it is Analog, not digital, but i bought it for simple tasks

Every time I pick up it up to use it, the batteries are dead, so it has become useless to me, since, without the batteries, it will not work---AND---in order to replace the batteries, you have to remove the back cover held in place by 4 screws.This thing is a piece of junk, and it's too late tp get my money back, so I went to eBay and bought a 50 year old Triplett 360 in excellent shape for $25 that works beautifully. Apparently it's true---they just don't make 'em like they used to.Do yourself a favor--don't even think about buying this meter.

I ordered this to replace a well used multi-meter from the 80's. To be honest I wasn't expecting much as it much lighter and slightly smaller than my old meter. After using the meter for an initial check of the functions I was happy with the purchase. Meter is solid, accurate, easy to use, dial is well marked with various functions. An instruction pamphlet is included.Overall I am pleased with the unit and feel comfortable giving it 5 stars.

It does what you would expect from a $35 meter. You have to take the back off to replace batteries, 2 screws does the trick. It came with 2 AA batteries already installed but I swapped them out. The manual is not much more than a pamphlet but it covers the basics. You don't get a case, but I wasn't expecting one, they're inexpensive and readily available. So far, so good.
