A little difficult to set up first time
I actually bought this particular item for a Christmas present for a family member, as I have the same myself they are quite novel and memorising to watch, I think mine is about two years old and still going strong, plugs into the mains electric so no battery to worry about

Absolute rubbish
This is a total waste of money. Worked first time and was quite impressive. Turned it off and for the life of me and four friends we could not get it to balance again. The instructions are hopless. I have a number of of these magnetic floating objects so I am and so are a number of my friends but try as we could for hours we just couldn't get it to balance. Extremely poor quality and an absolute rip off, don't touch it there's much better on the market.

Can be tricky.
I have had floating globes before, I certainly know how tricky they can be to load.My plan was to unpack this item, set it up to make sure that it all powers up and works correctly.I set up the base and placed the globe, it floated at the first attempt ! surprise !It looks very nice, especially the illuminated globe and the auto rotation. Then I switched it all off to move it to its final home....Three hours after setting it up in its final position, I could not get it to float. Frustration !I let it cool down for a good hour then tried again.2nd attempt, voila !What I learned from this:If you dont manage to float the globe after 3 or 4 attempts, leave it. Let it cool down. Then try again.

Looks good but
I find it impossible to get it to levitate

Nice but difficult to hover at first.
Vert nice rotating globe with different light effects. Very difficult to hover at first. Don't follow the instructions. Place your fingers under the globe and rotate with your thumbs until it hovers. Takes a bit of pracise.

Neat idea let down in production.
The media could not be loaded. Compact size, magnetic effect and rotation are quite a feature once you've mastered lining it up with the internal magnets in the base, it's quite an alarming slam when you miss the alignment. When it's lit up it's best and worst features are evident. Nice colour and some detail are visible but it's marred by a join of just under 1 mm all the way round the equator. Sadly this ruins it's otherwise attractive visual appeal.

Amazing and magical - worth every penny
My 7 year old has requested a globe for Christmas. There are lots to choose from, but this one looked too good to be true.I opened it up and tried it. I got it to levitate straight away and blew it gently to get it to spin perfectly. The icing on the cake is how you can get the levitating globe to illuminate with no electrical connections! Truly marvelous. Engineered and built well. He's going to absolutely love it.The bonus is also having the option to have a blue ring on the base illuminate too. Both can be turned on either/or.

This is a really cool present
Easy to set up and looks great in the dark. Perfect present for my daughter's 21st, the fact that it is a night light and can spin like a real globe is just awesome
