Good quality for my need
I received 2 of them for the price which I paid so I thought it was a very good deal

An axe shaped object.
Bought these mainly to practice sharpening an axe with a file. With that said, the metal used for these is softand easy to sharpen. Both axes were yellow, not red as in the picture. As other reviewers said, there is a pungent rubber/ chemical smell to them. The smell does lessen the longer they are out in the open but has not gone away completely. They are not ground evenly at all and the heads have a noticeable curve in both of them. For $15 dollars (or $7.50 an axe), these are clearly not good quality axes.

The quality is better than I expected
Very reasonably priced. The quality is better than I expected. I actually like the yellow handles they came with better than the red.Very pleased!

I wouldn't rely entirely on them...
I got these for a costume. I don't think they'd really hold up to much, but I haven't taken them camping or anything. I keep them near my bed because I don't have a baseball bat.

Trash
It was very light weight , very pior quay. I didnt even use it 5 min before the head came off . Im lucky it didnt hit me or do some damage to someone or something. . i wouldnt recommend to anyone . Its dangerous & hazardous. The grip wasnt right on the handle . Dont waist your time or money buying it .

Cheap - but effective
Update at day 14: the epoxy gluing the head on cracked out. Defective. Bummer.Original review: Lowest cost hatchet out there, and although the plastic is brittle and the glue/epoxy poorly applied, the cast metal hatchet head is solid and well cast. Cheap, but an effective hatchet. If all you want is a hatchet that is low cost, you have found your winner. If, however, you are wanting looks, style, or craftsmanship, you will need to keep looking.
