Works great for me
I work in the automotive industry. I use this all the time to simulate fuel level sensors, intake air temp sensors things like that. Just start out with max resistance work your way down watch the data list or the gauge. Its easy to use and understand. Casing is firm dosent feel flimsy. It's priced aproprietly.

Nicely Done, but Nothing Above 10K
Easy to use with a nice fit-and-finish, clearly labeled, and within the stated 1% tolerance.Taps are provided before/after each dial, so that you don't necessarily need to reset unused dials to zero. But what would have made it twice as valuable is to provide values above 10K (11K can be achieved with this unit by turning all dials to their maximum values). The 1-10 Ohm dial isn't useful to me, as these are only .5W - not power resistors. An additional dial on the left with standard values woiuld have been useful (but is not provided):4.7K, 5.6K, 6.8K, 10K, 22K, 47K, 100K, 180K, 480K, 680K, 1MThe low-values should be 100W power resistors to make them more useful (Or at a *minimum*, 3W)The user interface of spinning a dial is far better than tinkering with up/down switches to set each decade and a little better than the individual switches on the Elenco RS-500. But that device can achieve a much wider range of values and is far less-expensive.This box is higher quality, looks better, and is quite a bit larger, but although the Elenco looks/feels cheaper, it covers the same range and far more (all the way to 10M), so is more useful at half the price.

Very nice.
I use a number of these are they are perfect for what they are. They provide a basic restive load in a variety of increments. For quick checks on benchtop or even desktop setups it is ideal.

Works as advertised.
The one I ordered was in a slightly different configuration, but a quality product none the less. Price is a little steep for what your getting, but on par with others in this category. Everything well within advertised specifications.
