Royal & Langnickel SPEN-12 Essentials Sketching Pencil Set, 12-Piece

I bought this product for a online art class and it worked perfectly and there was nothing I would change about the packaging or the product. It came quickly and without any damage and it is very giftable. The packaging is very thin and slick and looked nice. The pencils are great for shading and sketching. This is a great product for the price and compared to more expensive pencils, it works the same.

These are excellent pencils. The set is really robust and includes a lot of different darknesses. At least the way that I sketch, I don't need a full 12 pencil set, so I was easily able to split it into two different sets, so that I could toss one in my work bag and keep one at home. They sharpen well and seem to be pretty consistent in quality. I really like these.If you were looking for a gift, these are lovely. The presentation is nice and it's a really full set, so anyone who likes pencil sketching would probably really appreciate them. I'll come back to these any time I need new pencils.

I personally had a great experience with these pencils. I used them for my introduction college art class and it worked for all the sketch prompts given. I am not a huge artist nor do I sketch often but for what I needed it was great. The case it comes in is definitely not protective but it held together perfectly fine just to keep them in place.

These pencils are WONDERFUL! The only problem is... they don’t have erasers! Now I know that many fancy drawing pencils don’t have erasers, I’ve used all kinds of great pencils that have erasers though. Not having an eraser on the end doesn’t make a pencil “not cool”. I don’t know how hard it is to put one on... hence the four stars, it’s missing an eraser. Sometimes a tiny eraser like that can be more precise than the erasers you can buy that fit in your hand. I guess you could get the little ones you stick on top, but maybe just buy a drawing pencil with an eraser built in.

These pencils are exactly what I ordered and the price was right. I’ll be buying some more for the upcoming school year again!

They are cheap, but they are still good. Obviously if you pay 10x the price you will get a superior product, but I am surprised at the quality for the price.I took years of art class in H. School, and have continued ever since, so I am familiar with drawing pencils. I would say the softest graphite in the kit is a bit harder than you would expect, but overall there is a good range between the hardest and the softest pencils. Really you would be hard pressed to beat the price
