I'm really disappointed with this yoga rug. It's a nice enough rug, but I didn't need a decorative item. I needed something I could comfortably and safely practise yoga on. I needed a new mat that doesn't slip, and decided to drop a lot of money (for me) on something a bit special that would last me for years. Unfortunately it slips worse than my old one, lacks the padding (which at least I was expecting) and is really rough on my hands. Disappointed isn't really the word - I really wish I'd bought a £6 mat from the supermarket instead. It would have been more use for it's intended purpose, and a darn sight cheaper.

1st yoga rug, really good quality, lovely turquoise colour blue on my pics for some reason , but actually it's very turquoise, beautiful!) tiny bit slippy on first few asanas, but as you get sweaty a bit its a good grip. Love the stripes that helps me to place hands and feet in a right place. I would recommend for any ashtangi or yoga practitioner who likes to get into more traditional way of practice and who cares about environment and support local businesses in India. Not sure if any other yoga users would be happy with rig as its not so sticky sticky as rubber. Please read Yoga Elephant website first. I'm glad this guy set this business for Europe as I was looking for a rug for a while and they're all in USA. Thank you for a great quality rug I was looking for.

This yoga rug is wonderful. It's really spacious, and for me, the grip is amazing right from the start of my practice, when my hands are not even sweaty yet. Once I start sweating, it gets even better. As it is prone to sliding on the floor, I put an anti-slip rug pad underneath (you can get them for really cheap from IKEA, for example), and attached it to the rug with a few safety pins at the corners. This rug is not very thick, which for me isn't an issue at all as I prefer less cushioning anyway, but for others it might not be comfortable without the use of another yoga mat under it.Also, I was really happy to support an ethical company with my purchase that honors traditional artisan craftsmanship. I can only recommend this rug, it really makes a difference to my practice.

Yoga mats are meant to be made of cotton not rubber or plastic. Personally I haven't got round to doing much yoga because every time I do a few stretches I feel so in love with my mat that I lie on it feeling wonderful . Perfect for loving yourself !

I love this mat. What a difference to the rubber mats. It smells nice , feels good. Doing Ashtanga on the mat is fab. Never going back to rubber mats.

It is a beautiful yoga rug, kinda pricey for for a rug but worth it. For me, I am struggling with jumping through from down dog to sitting and found this rug helps a lot!

Lange habe ich recherchiert, Rezensionen gelesen, Materialien verglichen, damit ich für meinen ersten Yoga-Teppich die richtige Wahl treffe. Und - ich darf euch mitteilen, daß der Elephant Yoga-Rug genau richtig ist. Ihr werdet ihn lieben!Schön zusammengelegt kommt er an und vom ersten Augenblick des Auspackens wußte ich, der wird mich gut begleiten bei Yoga und Meditation. Er hat keinerlei störenden Geruch und legt sich sofort wunderbar aus. Die Farbe ist super, das Material ist schön fest gewebt - rundum ein Lieblings-Teil *** dazu noch der Origami-Elephant, der dem Teppich beigelegt ist und ein sehr ansprechender Text, der noch einmal die Wertigkeit unterstreicht und der einen wissen läßt, daß man gut aufgehoben ist auf der neuen "Yoga-Oase". Da hat sich jemand viele Gedanken gemacht und es wird ein sehr persönliches Gefühl vermittelt.Also - rundum eine absolute Kaufempfehlung für diesen echten Bio-Yoga-Teppich mit Wohlfühlgarantie!!!

Ich habe mir den Yoga-Tippich gekauft, weil ich keine Lust mehr hatte jeden Morgen meine Matte auszurollen und danach wieder wegzuräumen. Den Yoga-Teppich kann ich jetzt einfach in meinem Zimmer liegen lassen ohne das es unaufgeräumt oder chaotisch aussieht. Er eignet sich super für die täglichen Übungen, man sollte aber eine Anti-Rutsch Matte darunter legen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und freue mich jetzt nach dem Aufstehen noch mehr auf Yoga als davor.

Zunächst war ich skeptisch, da ich vorher noch nie auf einer gewebten Matte praktiziert hatte. Ich war aber auf der Suche nach einer "Wohlfühlmatte" - einer Matte, auf der ich mich Zuhause fühle sobald ich sie ausbreite. Egal wo ich bin. Und genau dieses Gefühl hat mir die Matte tatsächlich vom ersten Tag an vermitteln. Beim herabschauenden Hund musste ich mich zwar erstmal an den veränderten Grip an den Händen gewöhnen aber nach einer Woche war auch das kein Problem mehr. Tolle Matte, tolle Farbe - rundum zufrieden. Würde die Matte jedem sofort empfehlen.

Dieser Yoga Teppich ist einfach nur schön. Von der Farbe (hellblau) über das Material und Verarbeitung Spitzenklasse. Schon beim Auspacken war ich freudig überrascht über die Sorgfalt, mit der dieser Teppich hergestellt wurde. Sehr schön auch der kleine applizierte Elefant in der Ecke. Der Teppich lässt sich sehr gut falten oder rollen und nimmt kaum Platz weg. Werde ich auch auf Reisen mitnehmen, da er sehr leicht ist. Ich liebe es, auf diesem Teppich mein Yoga zu praktizieren.

La esterilla coincide exactamente con la descripción y las fotos. Es muy ligera y cómoda de transportar, se dobla muy bien pero, a la vez, tiene un muy buen y generoso tamaño para la práctica. Se lava muy bien, y el tacto es muy agradable, facilita los saltos y transiciones con respecto al caucho, no hace nada de daño en la piel. El agarre es bueno, sobre todo cuando está un poco húmedo. La recomiendo a cualquiera que busque una buena esterilla de algodón

Diese Yogamatte hat eine angenehm griffige Baumwollstruktur, stinkt nicht und vermittelt ein ruhiges Gefühl.Rutschfest ist sie auf Parkett oder Fliesen nicht, aber das wusste ich bereits vor dem Kauf.

I've always had very sweaty hands during Yoga practice - until now it's been a hassle to rarrange my towel for every new posture so it would be where my hands would end put but not get tangled between my feet and legs. But using a regular mat wihtout towel would have me slip away and land on face... My Yoga instructor came up with the idea of using a rug to overcome this problem - and it works! No more slipping, no more rearraging, I can now follow my flow without any interuptions!

Diese Matte ist ein Traum für alle, die Plastik/ Kunststoff vermeiden möchten oder wie ich als Veganerin kein Lammfell verwenden möchten! Sie ist absolut liebevoll hergestellt und verpackt, mit einer Mini-Überraschung... Es war die pure Freude beim Auspacken und ich genieße jeden Tag diese wunderbare Matte bei meinen Übungen. Me gusta mucho la esterilla, pero mis manos me resbalan un poco. Tengo la sensación de que a más sudor más agarra, creo que en verano me irá mejor. La uso sobre otra esterilla vieja y finita porque a mí personalmente me gusta más grosor para las asanas de suelo y sirsasanas.

Magnifique tapis en coton, le turquoise est lumineux mais malheureusement l’accroche pour Adho mukha svanasana n’est pas bonne et d’une manière générale pour toutes les postures debout où les pieds doivent être bien ancrés. Dommage ! Pour les postures assises et les inversions, il est bien.

Excellent mysore rug pour l'Ashtanga. Suffisamment long et large pour les plus grands ou pour ceux qui aiment avoir de la place pour les postures (enfin cakrasana sans finir à moitié sur le voisin de derrière). Le bleu marine est très beau et le coton très agréable. J'ai aussi le terracotta qui n'a quasiment pas bougé depuis son achat. A essayer d'urgence, ça change la vie et la pratique !//Excellent mysore rug for Ashtanga practice. Long and large enough for tall people or those who need space in their practice (finally managed to do cakrasana without ending up half way out of my mat). Navy blue is really beautiful, cotton feels great. I also own the terracotta and it has barely moved in months. Try it, it'll change your life and practice!

Perfetto tappeto per asthanga. Ottima fattura, robusto. Da usare sopra un tappeto in gomma (non è antisdrucciolo), verificare le dimensioni in maniera da avere due tappeti con le stesse misure.
