ELECJET, USB C MagSafe Adapter, Type C to MagSafe 1&2 Converter, Compatible with MacBook Pro/Air and Most USB C Laptops and Devices

Despite mixed reviews, I purchased this on Prime Day because it was on sale (in the red color variant). I needed something like this to charge my 13" MacBook Pro w/TouchBar directly from the MagSafe cable on an Apple Thunderbolt Display. I'm happy to report that it works as advertised. It provides 45W of power when connected to the MagSafe cable coming from the Thunderbolt Display. This is enough to charge the MacBook Pro and to keep it charged during active use.I've also tried the ELECJET with a standalone 85W MagSafe AC adapter and that works as well, though it only provides 39W of power to Mac.Occasionally, the ELECJET will get warm, but not so much as to be alarming.Overall, I'm very happy with the flexibility that the ELECJET provides. I can still use my old MagSafe adapter as an extra charger for my new MacBook Pro, and I can charge the Mac directly from a Thunderbolt Display.

This worked great for several weeks on several different model MacBook or MscBook Pro laptops with power coming off an Apple 27” Thunderbolt Display or an Apple 87w display, then it stopped working. Now it only blinks a light and doesn’t charge the laptop any longer but apparently I’m past my return period through Amazon and no response from vendor support. So I call the $24 a rental and just have to rent another working one for another six months.

I thought this would be a good replacement or backup for My MBP13" with Touch Bar. It worked for awhile then stopped. I contacted the manufacture about the issue. All the comments said the manufacture was easy to communicate with.Sent them my purchase info and the SN on the ELECJET. The manufacture said that they would send a black one instead of red. The color doesn't matter with me. I was asked if Would follow up on how the replacement works. I said, I would be glad to. No replacement. purchased back in July of 2019. Now its march of 2020. Don't leave home without another power adapter as backup.

Perfect way to extend the usefulLife of my older chargers to my USB-C models. I have more than 8 of these.
