Scottoiler Scorpion Dual Injector - Twin feed applicator for all Chain Oiler systems - SO-5000…

I have been waiting for years for a small device like this to becaome available. I have had my ScottOiler for the full 11 years I have owned my BMW S1000RR and at the time of Purchase, only a single nib transported the ScottOil to the Chain and Chainwheel. It seemed odd at the time because surely the Chain requires equal volume of ScottOil to lubricate properly.However, this device answeres that need. Once fitted correctly (Not for the Feint Hearted) it works perfectly allowing ScottOil to reach the parts that other, "Lagers Can't Reach".A word of caution, the underside of the Swinging Arm needs to be cleaned with White Spirit etc. The two damp pads provided is not sufficient. You get only one chance with the adhesive patch to fix the device beneath the underside of the Swinging Arm. If you miss the first chance, whilst lying on one's back, trying to position it correctly... give up. There's a solution.The BMW S1000RR is not perfectly flat beneath the Swiming Arm and it is wise to gently file away the excess aluminium (Aluminum for New World Americans) and create a perfectly flat surface. Next, use 6 Minute Hardening Araldite (Similar Glues are available) to create a very secure surface from which to hang the Scorpion Dual Device, whilst lying on one's back, trying to position it correctly. You can position the Scorpion Dual Device very precisely by taking great care to hold the device in place for the 6 minutes, until the 6 Minute Araldite has set hard.I have used ScottOiler for 11 years (21,000 miles) on the one chain and one chain wheel; now I have fitted the ScottOiler Scorpion Dual Device, I expect I may be able to get a few more thousand miles.

Does a great job at spreading oil to both sides of your chain

All scottoilers should be supplied with the scorpion tail as standard because it lubricates both sides of the chain. Retro fitting to an already mounted and functioning system is a messy and frustrating activity. Self adhesive pads are pretty much useless necessitating the use of cable ties. Targeting the oil is fiddly. Removing the back wheel with one of these fitted is interesting.

Decided to splash out on the Scott oiler and it worked well on one side of the chain but not on the other side , so I then tried the scorpion which does both sides. The outside links get well lubricated and the link nearest the wheel gets lubricated but not so well. I am not sure why and I will have to look into it a bit further when it’s not raining. I am really pleased that I bought and fitted it , it is so much better than using lube.

New bike, new chain oiler,This seems to work ok but the new design for the dual injector has it mounted “flat” against the underside of the swingarm,So There is far less flexibility in its positioning and As a result, I found it much more awkward to fit than the old style dual injector.

For functioning properly in my opinion this but of kit is very desirable .

Does what its expected to do. I added the duel head to lubricate both sides of the sprocket and chain.It was easy to install and setup and is working fine.I would recommend this product. It saves on lubrication with cans of spray, is less messy and will reduce chain and sprocket wear.

Easy to install as it fits straight to existing oiler systemFeels OK . Just need to ensure where you have fixed it is free from oil and grease

Je ne regrette pas mon achat, c'est super surtout si l'on fait de grandes sorties moto !Pas de souci, facile à installer et efficace. Bien régler le débit pour ne pas avoir trop de projections.C'est bien meilleur que la bombe !!!

Un accessori per fer que l'oli vagi a parar als dos costats del pinyó i engreixi millor la cadena. No és imprescindible però, ja que ho muntem, li hem posat tot. Això si, s'ho fan pagar
