I upgraded to two of these 3 foot Cat 8s from my old Cat 5 cables for my router and media server. My cat 5s were old and unshielded. I was getting a lot of weird behavior(s) from my wifi and media server, but from nothing else so I knew it was the cables for whatever reason. and after plugging these in I was surprised by a few things. The weird behavior I had been getting ceased which may be due to being shielded ???, but an unexpected thing happened and now I am finally able to get wifi signal in the one dead spot in my house which I didn't think cables would fix/change. I have never gotten more than one bar of signal on any device prior to using these in that area so I am certain it's because of the cables. I am now getting 4 bars on the three devices I tried in that area, so whether it's the cables or sheilding or both I don't know or care, but that was a great unexpected surprise. My media server now is also responding very quickly. WIth my Cat 5s it would always take about 15-30 seconds to be discovered in the app I use to access it and any media played would lag a bit at first, but now when I hit the media server app it appears as soon as the app loads and the media itself starts right up with no lags. So all in all the cables seem solid, the 2 pack was reasonably priced and I actually have noticed improvements. The wifi improvement alone in the dead zone was an unexpected bonus.

Quick example: Top of the line gamer enthusiast with prime income has a 200 Mbps connection (let's joke and say it's 1 gig...maybe Fiber Optic Service provided by Verizon or some other provider) and in the other corner, a game enthusiast with a lower income that gets a 40 Mbps connection. Depending on that equipment, i.e. the port(s) on she/her/hers or he/his/him's router and motherboard AND the connection speed, there's a lot going on there. Suffice to say it's a great cable.

Seems like an excellent quality cat 8 Ethernet cable. I buy this for gaming, 12gbps download speed, 16gbps upload speed. Definitely worth the small investment. More than happy.The clips at the ends of the cable are easy to use and appear to be better quality than many other cables. I've had to plug them numerous times and the cable is still holding strong, the data transmission is good and the clips are holding up well.

I bought a couple shorter Glanis cables due to glowing reviews and my own results.I really wanted to like this 100 ft Glanis cable. I really did. Had high hopes for it. I needed 75 ft plus so I ordered the 100. I understand that 100 ft is currently max for Cat 8 cable length.I went from my Windstream Modem/ Dual Band Router to my Tri-Band Router. Wifi is shut off.No change at all and if anything a hair slower than my cheap old Cat 5E 75 ft cable with 24 gauge wire.I can't condemn the Glanis cable yet as more than this cable is the sum total of my network.I did order a 75 ft Cat 8 Cable from another supplier to try.There were no apparent cuts kinks or other visible damage to this cable and it was simply unrolled thru the house temporarily. Both ends on equipment were checked for fuzz or dirt. Nothing. Plugs were plugged in a couple times to confirm good connection.My internet is Windstream DSL 100 max w a typical 77mb download rate. OLD CABLE 77.7....NEW CABLE 77.5 TO 77.6. One more thing. GLANIS cable seemed a bit thinner than my old 24 ga Cat 5E cable. I just want a cable that works that I can stick in a damp crawl space and doesn't drag my system down. I have no ax to grind with anybody.I have NOT contacted support as I saw nothing visibly wrong with this cable.

I purchase these cables to update my current Cat 6. I have had these CAT 6 for the last 7 years. I recently upgraded my router and elected to upgrade my Cat 6. The quality and durability of the CAT 8 cable was very impressive. I was not expecting such a thick and protective cable. I plugged the cable into the router and all worked perfectly - no issues. The price entry point and value (2 Cables) makes this a good investment.
