Arion Legacy Portable Bluetooth Speaker with Microphone and Bluetooth Music Receiver for Wired Speakers, Cars, Smartphones, Tablets and PCs

I was incredibly disappointed with this speaker! I ordered it as I was transitioning to a job across country. It arrived at my remote workplace before I did. My first thought was that I could use it as a video conference table-top microphone and speaker setup. The remote computer being used on the other end was using built in speakers and mic and was not adequate. However, that setup was much better than this bluetooth speaker/mic. I had it boxed back up and I planned to check it out myself when I was onsite. I thought that it might *maybe* at least be an option for a desktop speaker for my Mac laptop. No such luck. The Mac built in speakers on my laptop actually sounded better than this! Unfortunately, I did not get around to sending it back to Amazon before my return time was over. Now I'm stuck with it.It's actually smaller than I thought and has very little mass to it. I expected it to be much heavier and substantial. Instead, it feels very cheap and light. The sound lacks bass and sounds "tinny" and hollow to me. As I said, I get more bass from the laptop speakers! For the price, I would highly recommend that you take a pass on this unit!

The sound is great and the mic is good. I will have to say I am surprised by the speaker. I love it and its great.

I tested this for my boss who purchased it. Overall sound quality is decent, nothing too crazy. In the description it boast a big bass system but it doesn't impress me all that much. Definitely better than my laptop speakers, but only incremental.As far as Bluetooth connectivity, I had no issues connecting it to my computer. I turned on my Bluetooth adapter and hit search and it found it pretty quick. From there it did install the driver for speaker and I was good to go within a few minutes. I was then able to disconnect and reconnect fairly easily.The buttons on the side allow for volume adjustment, picking up/ending phone calls, and progressing/regressing songs. While the volume and calls buttons worked properly, the song skip did not. I would click the advance button once and it would skip to the next song, and then continue skipping through the rest of the CD until the end. I'm using the most recent version of iTunes to date (12.1.2.27).Overall from my experience with Bluetooth speakers I don't think this one is terrible, but I've definitely used better ones before. At the current Amazon price of $69.99, I'd rather pay an extra $30 for a more reliable speaker with equal to better overall quality.
