Piano Black - Sony PSP 1000 Full Housing Shell Cover Replacement with Button Set

Looks oem, other sellers (for instance on ebay) are selling generic housings with no logo on the back and I even got 1 where the screen was REALLY scratched. In a panic I turned to this seller and minus the atrocious shipping time I am very pleased. You MUST have some kind of technical experience before you attempt installation as it calls for a TOTAL disassembly and reassembly of the PSP but everything looks new when done correctly.The only gripe I have with this is the button strip with the home, select etc. didnt work when tightly reassembled, I say TIGHTLY because that is needed for the joystick to work properly. I used the old set I had and everything's ok now.

The case replacement worked flawlessly, but the buttons left something seriously to be desired. The horizontal buttons on the bottom of the PSP were fine, but the rest were pretty cheap feeling, and crappy. For this reason I just used the casing, and kept the original buttons.I gave it 4 stars because the casing is the best you can get for this model of psp yet the buttons are cheap.

I noticed some of the negative reviews commented on how long it takes for this product to arrive, I was prepared to wait a full month for it to show up. To my surprise it showed up earlier than I had anticipated, seeing how I was not provided any tracking information at all, I really had now way of knowing when it would truly show up. It looks, and feels really nice. I really like it. Except the battery cover does not fit completely. It is not loose, but it hangs over the edge and with a slight tap, will fall off. The graphics on the back, the silver ring, came off almost instantly after I put the new case on. A minor annoyance, but I used some super glue, and it is fine now. Other than those things, it is actually really nice. It looks really clean, and all the buttons fit perfectly for me. I got this, with a set of new rubber contact pads, and it feels great. I would recommend this for the price, as it is hard to find PSP 1000 parts these days.

The face plate did not fit an original psp 1000 body. However, the necessary part were made well enough to repair an actual psp.
