Have worked great for years, inside and outside.
I bought these speakers in 2021. Both for inside my garage and outside for my pool. Both sets still work great and the outside ones have held up well. I accidentally left them outside over the winter, and although the grill rusted a little, they still work fine.Only downside I recently discovered is due to the one uncovered opening, spiders and bees/wasps like to crawl inside and build hives or nests. Wish the whole thing was covered with the grill. However, for the price - they are fantastic.

Low-cost speakers for non-critical duty that work well and seem made well for the price
I use vintage stereo receiver/amps that require occasional maintenance, so got these little speakers for test purposes so I wouldn't have to drag speakers from the house into the workshop when I'm working on a receiver.Pros:They seem well made for $38 bucksBrackets were easy to attach with knobs (don't even need a screwdriverNice, springy RCA terminals in rearSound:Decent considering cost and intended applicationsI suspect some of the reviews saying the speakers sounded terrible were from people who used the included extremely thin speaker wire. To get bass and mid-range - the fullest range of frequency the little speakers are capable of - they will need heavier gauge wire such as 16 AWG... I don't think the terminals will take anything heavier (e.g. 14g), but that would be lost on them anyway. Even 18g would likely be ok (thinner than 16g but these little speakers can only produce so much fidelity anyway, so might not be a difference in sound between 16 and 18g wire). The included speaker wire is too thin to be useful but it's impractical for them to include quality speaker wire. Everyone needs different lengths, some people prefer particular gauges, and it would hike the price of the speakers without satisfying most people anyhow. The included wire might be better considered a way to be able to test the speakers when they arrive to make sure they're not DOA without having to break out your own wire for that task. However, it was too thin to make a proper connection in my case; the terminals of my equipment were not made for such thin wire, so I ended up making a tail from my own speaker wire anyway (16 AWG). Both speakers indeed worked and sounded like I expected they would. Went back out of curiosity and did finally manage to get the included speaker wire to make a connection just to see the difference in sound, knowing the thin wire would make the speakers sound terrible. And they did. Like an old tinny radio. The sound [using 16g wire] is fine for my purposes, and probably fine for augmenting a multi-channel setup... or for listening to a phone on a 'personal speaker system.' They are not suited to use as 'the main speakers in the house' so when people say 'they sound great' bear in mind their purpose and price. For cheap external speakers where cost has to go into housing/hardware/brackets and the rest goes into reproducing sound, they aren't bad.

Great speakers
Got these speakers for my covered patio. These are great. Plenty loud enough and clear to be heard throughout the backyard. These are easy to mount and wire.

If you like bass, then keep looking elsewhere!
These Pyle 3-way Mini Box Speaker System - 3.5 Inch 200 Watt Waterproof Marine Grade Mount Speakers are just OK. They are small enough to mount just about anywhere and they look nice. I put two in my ATV and they don't intrude on the interior space. They are easy to mount and connect. They use plastic mounting support arms which are OK, but I would have preferred metal. The sound is acceptable when playing music, as long as you don't play the music too loud or with too much bass. I have a 12V Pioneer radio with "Bass Boost" and they cannot handle the bass boost feature at all! So, I have to turn this feature off for these speakers. Otherwise, they distort the bass very badly. As long as the music you play on them isn't heavy on bass or the volume isn't above about 60% of max, these will work. Talking (listening to disc jockeys) comes across without much distortion at all. I used 16ga. speaker wire instead of the smaller gauge wire that they come with. I didn't want to spend very much money, since they were to be used in an ATV, so I got what I paid for.....waterproof speakers that will give me acceptable sound, within limits!

They are very loud with no distortion when turned up
Cons: Let's get this out of the way. These speakers are not reference monitors, you probably shouldn't try to mix music with them. They have a brassy sound that is more attuned to treble and not bass.Pros: Bang for the buck, you will be hard pressed to find speakers that sound this good, and get this loud for a lower price. They are fine for certain types of music, but if you like thumpy bass you should look elsewhere. Build quality: the speaker shell is made of hard plastic, the manufacturer claims they are water resistant, there is a thin metallic covering over the front that protects the speakers themselves, overall I believe they will hold up well. These speakers are not overly large, they sit nicely to the right and left of my laptop or with the included mounts could go on the wall anywhere, as they are water resistant they would probably work on a porch or boat with under a roof.I paired these passive speakers with a small 200 watt BT amplifier, that also allows me to hook them up to a TV, computer, turntable or whatever, with the proper cables. I'm very happy with them, they deserve the 5 stars.

Weak
Not what I ordered. The write up said these were 3-way speakers with a 1 inch supper dome tweeter. The box they came in said they had a 1 inch supper dome tweeter. The speakers in the box had a 3.5 inch speaker and two flat gold disk, which may or may not be tweeters. The sound is weak. Also, the mounting bracket is plastic, which is not going to last long outside. For what I am using them for, these may suffice. But I won't fall for Pyle's bait and switch advertising again.
