Add another mic holder to a stand!
This allows you to add an additional mic holder to an existing stand. I used mine to add a second mic to my boom stand after getting a new acoustic that does not have a pickup. To avoid adding a pickup and changing the sound of the guitar, I was able to use this arm and an SM57 I already had to place a mic in front of my guitar while still having my vocal mic. You could also use it to mount your smartphone or tablet, with the correct holder attached to this arm.My only complaint is that it could be another 2-3 inches longer and a second joint in the middle would make it perfect.I still recommend this for straight-up acoustic guitars and vocals on a single boom stand

Works well for me. I purchased several for drums mics.
I'd been using rim mounted mic clamps on my drums. They work but get in the way if I want to throw on a set of Aquarian sound pad muffling "heads". I decided to try these and mount them on all the other vertical tube structures (cymbal stands, tom mounts etc). It works well but I had to mate some of these with the OnStage mini boom arms to get enough reach and directional flexibility. These clamps will not make an unsteady mount steady. but, if you have a good and steady tube to mount them to, they provide a convenient sturdy mic mount alternative. I know use 4 of these.

A must have in your gear
I love this thing. The number of times over the years I've could have used something like this when setting up to record or mic something.I am very happy I have it, if you have a studio or do performances you may want at least three, if not more. It just depends on what you are doing. The most common place I use this is with a goose neck or baby boom attached to it to mic the acoustic instrument of a singer.

Sturdy product
The product is sturdy and rigid. The only improvement is a type of rubberized portion that grips on a cymbal stand. Other than that, it works as advertised.

Works great!
I’m a Nashville-based trumpeter who plays with a handful of wedding/top 40 bands in and around the greater Nashville area. I bring an iPad with PDF set lists on ForScore to my gigs, and clip it onto my mic stand. Well, given that my instrument sits ON my face, having my iPad clipped to my mic stand directly in front of me made reading music pretty tough. So I actually bought this AT a gig with the idea that it would allow me to put the iPad to the side of my mic and have a clear eyeline to it. Haven’t turned back since! Highly recommended
