Installed and tested, and it functions perfectly fine.

I tore the ribbon cable on my R side joycon slider while taking it apart for cleaning. I wasn't paying attention after I took the screws out and turned the console over so the slider dangled by the cable and it tore. This is the perfect replacement and, as long as you have the tools, it's a pretty easy swap. This ribbon cable is designed to have a twist in it when installed so you might want to check out YouTube or a picture online of how it should look installed. If you still have the old one, just use it as a reference.

I am pretty skeptical about items like this. It is clearly used and salvaged from some other switch that was possibly bricked or unrecoverable but I understood that going in. Now:About a month ago I spilled a glass of water on my coffee table and I thought my switch was ruined. Instead of letting the switch dry before powering on, I checked to see if it was still functioning properly and everything was going well.Not sure what happened but the following day there was an issue with the right joycon docking. It would not detect the right joycon in handheld mode and could only be used wirelessly. Weird thing is the joycon would still charge.This ruined the switch for me as I play handheld most of the time.Before sending the joycon to nintendo for loads of cash I decided to try anything I found online. Nothing worked. It seemed most people who had this issue were fixed by power cycling the controller or updating or continuously disconnecting and connecting the controller. Mine was clearly water damage so none of this worked.I turned to this product on Amazon to try a home fix without knowing if it would work. Just finished installing the new right rail and the switch detects the joycon!! Thank you so much!

Not much to say, I bought a refurbished one off of ebay and it was defective. Then I purchased this piece and it works just fine.

Better than factory and fast shipping!

I tore the right slider rail's ribbon cable after replacing my son's Switch's front and back housings. The ribbon connector twists over itself then locks into a ZIF connector on the motherboard. I ended up crimping the cable in the process of reassembling it just enough to keep my Switch from detecting the right joycon. This new rail was a little tricky to install but not terrible (nowhere near as bad as a 3ds upper screen ribbon cable through the hinge fiasco). It worked great and even tightened up the sloppy wiggle the joycon had in the rail (from my son flexing it when he got upset playing come to find out).

Don't lead the headline deceive you, the temporary part is because I didn't replace the backplate like I should have. I installed this after the original slider rail was torn off when our Switch was dropped. The JoyCon was connected when it dropped and it landed just right that the slider tore off. I had this replacement in place in just a matter of minutes after taking off the back plate. The ribbon cable was a little finnicky but once again, after watching a couple YouTube videos, had it in place and working again in just minutes.Confident enough in this part that I'm buying it a second time since the first one broke due to my own negligence in not replacing the back plate.

Had no issues getting replacing the old one or with the new one during installation/after installation. Works like new. For the price its amazing value for the money. Had no issues with shipping either.

Works perfectly. My daughter spilt apple juice on the switch. Sadly afterwards the right joy con wouldn’t always pick up or stay picked up when in hand held mode. Ordered this installed it in about an hour (due to cleaning juice off the plate)It’s nice and snug and works perfectly now.

Worked perfect as a replacement part for the switch. Only thing is I wish it had of came with the little screws.

the title says and shows pic of left and right, meaning theres both sides, but no its the right side, only one piece, not very accurate

It only comes with 1 not both... false advertising
