Recently, I saw the movie "Eiffel". that had French subtitles. My curiosity had me search for a book onGustave Eiffel. The book arrived today - I'm absolutely thrilled with it. It is so much more than I had anticipated. Now I understand the price. I will cherish this forever. I've been to the tower - lived in Panama - went thru the locks. Saw the bridge in Portugal, climbed some of the stairs in the Statue of Liberty. I can't wait to devour this beautiful book. Thank you for having it available. Carole. 6/21/2022

An extremely interesting history about a visionary whose name we recognize but about whom we know very little. Our national interest in mostthings French is slight but this book deals with projects (in addition to the famous tower that bears his name) that should be more familiar to usalong with some striking engineering accomplishments both in his native France and throughout the world. I recommend this large & expensivebook to anyone who is eager to learn more about obscure individuals who have participated in the betterment of the world around us; plus itpresents evidence of his involvement in some things that are truly American---and some of these revelations are pleasant surprises.

Found it quite interesting. Didn't know the impact he had on the Panama Canal and that he had started the Gatun Locks in the 1890's. All the different projects he had worked on over the world made it even more interesting. Thank you for a very interesting book.

A great document filled with little known information about a great innovator and designer. Fantastic large format.

Just filled with great pictures and photo spreads of Eiffel's entire career and family. Expensive but worth it, and large oversize format.
