The best midi keyboard
I tried many midis and this one has the best look and feel and also does what it suppose to. If you travel a lot, it’s light and well made. I bought it 5 years ago and still use it.

Perfect in Size And gets the job done. I highly rate this five stars
I love this keyboard, quality functionality and the amount of versatility that can be done with this micro keyboard makes it one of the absolute best. Let me go over a couple of pros and cons. But the pros outweigh the cons.Pros:The value in the software alone is worth thousands of dollars you’re not gonna get any of this with any other midi keyboard. Can be used with all your Daws.. Tested Ableton live, FL studio 20 and much much more.Extremely solid build definitely will last years to comeFr..3 two Keys it’s the Sweet Spot.Functionality with complete control works perfectly and you spend more time playing and having fun then screwing around with software.Midi controls work flawlesslyCons:OK song address and cons here because I’ve read a lot of reviews complaining that the software doesn’t work with the keyboard. A lot of people are buying these keyboards just to get the software, I don’t understand why maybe because they want Drum pads with their micro keyboard. But they want the native suite also.First off for all you losers that are buying keyboards and drum machines to rip off software serial numbers you’re an idiot. You’re ruining everyone else’s experience because you’re stupid. If you can’t even figure out how to pirate the software or do a basic Google search you’re a moron..... OK enough of that. All I can tell you is if you contact native instruments with your problem they will literally give you serial.OK now for the rest of the stuff. Whenever using other DAWS You’re gonna have to do some set up. I don’t know a person that purchases one of these keyboards that isn’t a gearhead. But I’ll be honest with you I was up and running in Ableton 10 live In literally about 5 to 6 minutes. I even watched a couple YouTube videos just to make sure I had it right. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but if we wanna look at this as a con here I would say it is. Primarily when I look at product focused items literally these are experience needs to become flawless it doesn’t even matter if you’re using different software, if you’re going to charge people money for something and this goes out to you specifically native instruments, they should be able to use it on anything they want. Now for those of you that are going to be using this keyboard, do not fear set up to integrate into your music software is extremely easy.No drum pads. But I didn’t get this keyboard for drum pads, honestly if you’re that broke and all you’re gonna do is focus on one tool, you’re a hobbyist. Get the Machine mini MK3 and have a blast it’s worth every penny.OK let’s talk about the last con which is the size. I personally think the size is perfect but if you’re hedging your decision on shoving this thing in your backpack, you better get a tall backpack. Honestly, I would get a nice little Velcro strap and a nice little tote bag and pop this bad boy in there and strap it to the back your backpack. To be honest with you pulling this thing out in the park or in a coffee shop is totally rad and is meant to be use this way. But if you wanna get technical on the size, and that is going to make your buying decision break, Then don’t get this but to be honest with you it’s perfect in size.———OK for the final part of this review, I just want to go ahead make a statement that I’m not a big native instruments fanboy. Actually the company irritates me with their Apple mentality. Music is meant to be open to the world and they should open source their damn software and handshake with other APIs. But you can bring machine and complete control into all the other music software so it’s redundant anyways. This is a good product as well as the machine micro MP3, I bought both together and it looks amazing on my desk.Pro tip: One last thing that I want to take note of is that you can change the media maps to also function with your software like Photoshop and premiere and map the buttons to that. I did that with the machine micro MK 3

This controller also works well with GarageBand.
This controller works great, I use this Native instrument (Komplete Kontroller M32) with Native Instrument/Maschine software & it works excellent. I have been using the keyboard controller for a few weeks. This controller also works well when used in GarageBand with plug-ins... The only thing i would knock is the velocity, the sensitivity is horrible, you have to beat the life out of the keys to get that soft touch, i just turn the sensitivity/Velocity off... But its a cheap controller, idk if i where to expect that from this product being this cheap.

Great midi controller with some quality issues
There are not many options available if you're looking for a mini midi controller that doesn't look like a toy, and even fewer options if you're looking for more than 25 keys. This keyboard is a fantastic option that meets both of those preferences for me.The sleek minimalist design is a welcome change from the usual. The overall build quality feels good considering the price, but the encoders are where this thing really shines. They feel like they belong on a product twice the price. The keys themselves provide a decent amount of travel and resistance and maintain consistency across the key bed. They aren't amazing, but they are absolutely adequate. As for the buttons, they are uncomfortably stiff and obnoxiously clicky. Some people might not mind it, but to me this is the only feature of the keyboard itself that feels a bit cheap. The only other quality concern so far is that the included USB cable stopped working in less than an hour of use. Considering it's USB 2.0, it's a dated product at this point anyways.I use Logic Pro and connecting this controller was effortless. After installing the Komplete Kontrol plugin, the encoders and buttons were automatically mapped to control the DAW. Using the main knob to move the playhead is awesome! All things considered, I give this an 8/10. Product design is top notch, quality is decent, and my only serious gripe is having to buy a replacement USB cable so soon.

Nifty tool
I love the hardware but haven’t had a chance to dive too deep into the included software and sounds. I will mainly be using this with Logic Pro and like the host integration

Defective controller - bad help desk experience
I had to laugh when I read my original review. Gave NI way too much credit for quality. This unit had two bad keys. Their attitude was even more defective. Fortunately I outgrew this 32 key controller quick.A month in, I realized a key was defective. I made the mistake of putting up with it (Dec to Feb) until I started working on piano parts. It was the A key and then I found the low F# was also intermittent.Native Instruments would replace the controller with a factory refurbished controller. This confused me. And they wouldn't explain. Not new, but factory refurbished. Cheap way of doing business. They also wouldn't cut me a deal on a new (larger controller) while I waited. They didn't care.I went else where. While I was keen on the software at first, it's memory foot print is HUGE.Also, I found one of their apps that installs:( NTKDAEMON ) was running with 37 open ports on it!!!? Check it with Netstat -bfo 5 if you don't believe me. Why does it need that many ports when it's not doing anything. Uninstalled.I'm not NI fan any more. I'm making music and doing business with companies that are interested in my business. Quality still means something.
