Artifact Puzzles - Bikaner Elephants Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

I love Artifact wooden puzzles. My husband and I have about 14 of their puzzles, different sizes and themes. But of all our puzzles, this one is my favorite and here is why:The image is bright and beautiful and interesting; also a lovely color palate.It is a nice size, 11.5 x 7.4, with just the right number of pieces, 170; so it has enough pieces to be challenging, but few enough as to not distract from the image, and doable in a hour or two with two folks.It is FUN to do, the pieces are all different, but have the same shape connector pieces, so many pieces will fit perfectly in the wrong place, you have to also look at the artwork design to get things in their right place.The intricacies of the art piece, translate well to the individual puzzle pieces.This is a great puzzle to send as a gift to someone who is new to Artifact. It is a great introductory piece.

The first thing that amazed me about this puzzle is the quality. It is very well made and the lazer cuts are amazing. It is an expensive puzzle and I was worried about being ripped off, but now that I have it, those fears were misplaced. Would not be good for children, however, because although it isn't extremely fragile, it is still wood with very intricate cuts. The color is great. The little elephants within the puzzle makes for a fun addition. I am definitely going to consider buying more of these types of puzzles in the future.

Intricately laser-cut wooden puzzles which would be gorgeous even if you didn't see the front of the puzzle, just the intricate design of each puzzle piece and how they intersect! Contains seven or eight pieces shaped like elephants and more exotically-shaped pieces = a delight to work with and a real treasure for any family or individual!

A curiously compelling puzzle. It's rare that I want to complete a jigsaw in one sitting, but I did in this case. Maybe it's because you have to scrutinize the picture so carefully and that hooks you in ... the pentagonal pieces are roughly alike in shape and the connectors aren't unique (a rarity for Artifact). As usual, there are some cute features in the design of the whimsy pieces. Recommended.

Colors were very vibrant and cuts extremely clean. Very excited to put this together with the family over holiday.

I'm never sure I really want to do a puzzle showing elephants being captured—and then I can't resist. All the elephants—both painted and as whimsies—are part of the charm, but perhaps even more is the pentagonal tiling. The design always just pulls me in, and then, once the puzzle is finished, I leave it there so I can keep on admiring the patterns.

Arrived quickly, packaged nicely and she loved it!
